Chapter 228 The Wolf and the Horse（狼和马）

A WOLF coming out of a field of oats met a Horse and thus addressed him: —
一只狼从一片燕麦田里走出来，遇见了一匹马，于是对它说道： —

“I would advise you to go into that field. —
“我建议你进入那片田地。 —

It is full of fine oats, which I have left untouched for you, as you are a friend whom I would love to hear enjoying good eating. —
里面有一些美味的燕麦，我都没有动它们，因为你是我的朋友，我很愿意听到你享受美食的声音。 —

” The Horse replied, “If oats had been the food of wolves, you would never have indulged your ears at the cost of your belly.”
”马回答道：“如果燕麦是狼的食物，你就不会以耳朵的满足来换取肚子的饱足了。”

Men of evil reputation, when they perform a good deed, fail to get credit for it.
