Chapter 189 The Walnut-Tree（核桃树）

A WALNUT TREE standing by the roadside bore an abundant crop of fruit. —
一棵瞧见路边繁茂果实、竖立着的核桃树。 —

For the sake of the nuts, the passers-by broke its branches with stones and sticks. —
路人们为了那颗坚果，用石头和木棒强行折断它的树枝。 —

The Walnut-Tree piteously exclaimed, “O wretched me! —
核桃树惋惜地呼喊：“哎呀，我真可怜！ —

that those whom I cheer with my fruit should repay me with these painful requitals!”
让我以果实取悦他们的人居然以此痛苦的回报来报答我！”
