Chapter 131 The Lion in a Farmyard（农场里的狮子）

A LION entered a farmyard. —
一只狮子进入了一个农场。 —

The Farmer, wishing to catch him, shut the gate. —
农夫想要抓住它，便关上了大门。 —

When the Lion found that he could not escape, he flew upon the sheep and killed them, and then attacked the oxen. —
当狮子发现自己无法逃脱时，它扑向了羊群并杀死了它们，然后又攻击了牛群。 —

The Farmer, beginning to be alarmed for his own safety, opened the gate and released the Lion. On his departure the Farmer grievously lamented the destruction of his sheep and oxen, but his wife, who had been a spectator to all that took place, said, “On my word, you are rightly served, for how could you for a moment think of shutting up a Lion along with you in your farmyard when you know that you shake in your shoes if you only hear his roar at a distance?’
农夫开始为自己的安全感到担忧，于是打开了大门释放了狮子。在狮子离去后，农夫非常悲痛地为他的羊和牛的死亡而悔恨，但他的妻子作为目击者说：“这是你活该，你怎么能一瞬间就想把一只狮子关在你的农场里，你明明只要远远听到它的吼声就会吓得浑身颤抖呢？”
