Chapter 29 The Man and the Lion（人和狮子）

A MAN and a Lion traveled together through the forest. — 一个人和一只狮子一起穿过森林旅行。 —

They soon began to boast of their respective superiority to each other in strength and prowess. — 他们很快开始互相吹嘘自己在力量和勇猛方面的优越性。 —

As they were disputing, they passed a statue carved in stone, which represented “a Lion strangled by a Man.” The traveler pointed to it and said: — 当他们争论时，他们经过了一座用石头雕刻的雕像，上面刻着“一只被人勒死的狮子”。旅行者指着它说： —

“See there! How strong we are, and how we prevail over even the king of beasts. — “看这里！我们是多么强大，甚至能战胜野兽之王。” —
