McDonald’s has sold its three-storey Yuen Long shop for HK$77.4 million (US$9.9 million), marking the first sale under its Hong Kong asset-disposal plan announced in July. The property, located in Yuen Long Trade Centre, fetched over eight times its 1987 purchase price of HK$9.3 million. Buyer Acc Investment took ownership this week.The sale is part of McDonald’s plan to offload eight properties worth HK$1.2 billion in areas like Tsim Sha Tsui and Causeway Bay. Despite the sale, the fast-food chain will continue operating its restaurants under long-term leases. McDonald’s, celebrating 50 years in Hong Kong, currently runs 265 outlets citywide.
麦当劳以7740万港元（约990万美元）出售位于元朗贸易中心的三层店铺，这是其今年7月宣布香港资产出售计划后的首宗交易。该物业1987年购入价为930万港元，如今升值超八倍，由Acc Investment购得。此次出售属麦当劳在港价值约12亿港元的八个物业计划之一，涵盖尖沙咀、铜锣湾等地。尽管售出，麦当劳将继续以长期租约经营餐厅。今年是麦当劳进入香港50周年，目前全港共有265家分店。
