TikTok Shop is conducting its third round of layoffs in the US since April, as the Trump administration’s ban deadline approaches. A company statement cited strategic realignment for the cuts, without disclosing numbers. The unit, which missed internal sales targets last year, has also replaced Seattle-area US hires with China-connected managers to replicate ByteDance‘s Asian e-commerce model. Despite the changes, TikTok Shop remains the app’s fastest-growing business, having expanded to five European countries last year.
