The app is set to launch on September 5, with users needing to download it eventually; the current app will work until March next year, though the timeline may shift.This comes after US President Donald Trump said Friday he’ll start talks with China early this week on a possible TikTok deal. Last month, Trump extended ByteDance’s deadline to divest TikTok’s US assets to September 17.
