Meituan, China‘s top on-demand delivery giant, announced Sunday its daily orders surged to a record 150 million, up from 120 million last week. This milestone comes as major e-commerce players like JD.com and Alibaba intensify investment in the instant delivery market. CEO Wang Xing had said in March the firm would “do whatever it takes to win” in the fiercely competitive sector.
