BMW iX3 Gets Snapdragon Ride Pilot: Qualcomm-BMW‘s New Autonomous Driving System
Qualcomm and BMW launched Snapdragon Ride Pilot, a 3-year co-developed autonomous driving system, debuting in the new BMW iX3. Validated in 60+ countries, it’ll reach 100+ in 2026, built on Qualcomm’s SoCs and co-developed AD software, with 1,400+ engineers involved. Focused on scalability and safety, it has 360° perception, context-aware driving, and meets global safety standards. BMW calls it the “Superbrain,” with 20x more computing power than prior systems, offering hands-free highway driving, AI parking, and V2X. It supports OTA updates for lifelong improvement.
