The Nautilus was quiet again. The only sound we could hear was the ship’s engine. Captain Nemo stayed in his library. I didn’t see him for several days. The same thing happened after the death of one of his men. I thought there was something more to this. Maybe Captain Nemo thought that soon all his men would die, and the Nautilus and his secret would be lost.
鹦鹉螺号又安静下来。我们唯一能听到的声音是轮船的发动机。尼莫船长在他的图书馆。我都好几天没有见到他。同样的事情发生在他的一个手下死后。我以为还有别的事要做。也许尼莫船长认为不久所有人会死，鹦鹉螺号和他的秘密就都会遗失。
I found the Captain in his library. He stood and looked at a picture of a young woman with two small children. He didn’t hear me go in. He looked very sad. Who was this woman? Was it his wife? My leg hit a table and Captain Nemo turned around.
我在图书馆看见船长。他站了起来，看了一张有两个小孩的年轻妇女的照片。他没听见我进去。他看起来很伤心。这个女人是谁？是他的妻子吗？我的腿撞到了桌子上，尼莫船长转过身来。
“No, Professor, now!”
“不，教授，就现在！”
“It is. If you don’t speak to him, I’m going to do it myself.”
“这样。如果你不跟他说话，我自己说。”
“Alright, Ned, I’ll do it.”
“好吧，尼德，我来说吧。”
“When?”
“什么时候？”
“Now is not the time, Ned.”
“现在不是时候，尼德。”
Ned Land could not wait any longer.
尼德·兰不能再等待。
“I want you to talk to the Captain, Professor. Ask him if we can leave.”
“我想你跟船长说，教授。问问他我们能不能离开。”
“Soon.”
“很快。”
“I’m sorry, Captain. I came to speak to you.”
“对不起，船长。我是来是有话跟您说的。”
I had no choice. Ned Land lost his temper, and I thought Captain Nemo might listen to me and let us go.
我别无选择。尼德发脾气了，我想尼莫船长可能会听我的话，让我们走。
“I already told you.”
“我已经告诉过你了。”
Suddenly, Ned Land saw Captain Nemo.
突然，尼德·兰看见尼摩船长。
“I want all three of you to go to your rooms, now!” The ship came closer. Captain Nemo’s men got ready to fight it.
“我想让你们三个回去你的房间，现在！”船驶近了。尼莫船长的人准备战斗。
“Hey! Over here! Don’t shoot!”
“嘿！在这里！别开火！”
“Captain, you can’t expect us to stay on this ship for ever!”
“船长，你不能指望我们永远留在这艘船上！”
“Professor, you found me. I did not find you. No one who enters the Nautilus ever leaves. There is nothing else to say.”
“教授，是你发现了我。我没有找你。没有人进入鹦鹉螺号能离开。还有什么要说的。”
Suddenly I heard a voice shaking in that strange language. The voice came from another room. It was one of the Captain’s men. The Captain became very angry. “Professor, I want you to go to your room.”
突然我听到颤抖的声音说着那奇怪的语言。从另一个房间里传来的声音。这是船长的一个手下。船长非常生气。”教授，我想让你回去你的房间。”
“I’m afraid it’s important.”
“恐怕这很重要。”
“Hey! We’re over here!”
“嘿！我们到了！”
I left the Captain, but I didn’t return to my room. I went upstairs to the platform. There I found Ned and Conseil. “Sir, it’s a ship.”
我离开的船长，但是我没有回我的房间。我上楼到平台。在那里我发现了尼德和康塞尔。”先生，这是一艘船。”
Ned Land tried to call the ship over. The ship answered with cannonball.
尼德·兰试图呼叫那艘船。船用炮弹回答我们。
“It’s about our freedom. The men and I need to know what you plan to do with us.”

There was a ship travelling very fast towards us.
有一艘船非常快的行驶向我们。
“They’re firing at us!”
“他们在向我们开火！”
“What is it?”
“什么事？”
“Not now, Professor.”
“现在不行，教授。”
The Nautilus made a hole in the bottom of the enemy ship with its sharp nose. I saw the men on the other ship fall into the water. There was a loud explosion and then, silence.
鹦鹉螺号的尖鼻子在敌船底部撞了一个洞。我看见敌船上的人掉进水里了。一阵巨大的爆炸声，接着是寂静。
Captain Nemo put a black flag on the Nautilus with a yellow “N” in the centre of it. We all went down, inside the ship, I watched the fight from the glass window in the museum. The Nautilus shook from the explosions of the cannonballs in the water, but it went forward, ready to attack the enemy ship.
尼莫船长把一个黑色的旗帜插在鹦鹉螺号上，旗帜中心上有黄色的“N”。我们都下去了，在船上，我从博物馆的玻璃窗观看了打斗。鹦鹉螺号在炮弹的爆炸中在水中向前驶去，准备攻击敌船。
“This is my real enemy. They killed my friends and family. Now it’s my turn to kill them.”
“这才是我真正的敌人。他们杀了我的家人和朋友。现在轮到我杀了他们。”
