Deloitte China will invest US$64 million and hire 1,000 staff in Hong Kong over the next four years under its “Hong Kong LEAP” plan. The initiative aims to boost the city’s role as a regional talent and innovation hub, focusing on fintech, AI development, and capital market advisory. Deloitte’s economic outlook highlights Hong Kong’s potential in financial innovation, global expansion of mainland firms, tech collaboration, and green transition. CEO Dora Liu said Hong Kong sits at the intersection of global, national, and Greater Bay Area opportunities, positioning it as a vital “super connector” between China and global markets. The move aligns with Hong Kong’s push to diversify beyond finance and real estate.
